  • Exhibit accurate knowledge of content and pedagogy.

  • Build and design coherent lessons, activities, and assessments of rigor that match standards of learning.

  • Exhibit effective classroom procedures with little loss of instruction.
  • Effectively supervise students and manages student behavior.
  • Effectively communicate with students.
  • Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students behavioral and academic problems.

  • Demonstrate effective questioning and discussion techniques.

  • Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
  • Attend all professional meetings, educational conferences, and professional development sessions.
  • Assist in the supervision of students (such as in school libraries, hall and cafeteria monitoring and bus loading and unloading).
  • Sponsor extracurricular activities such as clubs, student organizations and academic contests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or other administrators.

Requirements

 

Certifications & Licenses:

1. Must have current Arkansas teaching license and certification for the grade level or subject area assigned to.
